Jacob Hashimoto was born in Greeley, Colorado in 1973 and graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He lives and works in New York. His works have been presented in many exhibitions around the world, including at MOCA and LACMA - Los Angeles, MACRO - Rome, the Querini Stampalia Foundation - Venice, Schauwerk Sindlefingen - Germany, SITE Santa Fe - New Mexico, at the Science Museum - Oklahoma, at the Crow Museum of Asian Art - Texas, or at the Wäinö Aaltonen Art Museum - Finland. He has also created large installations in public places such as the University of Houston, the Hotel Andaz in West Hollywood, the MACRO in Rome, the Palazzo Fortuny in Venice, on Governors Island in New York, or else Portland International Airport.
